Hello everyone,

I had some time on my hands over Christmas, and decided to have another crack at the PRP, a collaborative venture sharing lottery predictions.

This time there is an astrological twist: I will be working out lucky periods for contributors to play the lottery, and asking members to contribute their predictions at those times.

A portion of any winnings will be divided among regular contributors.

Hi Paracelsus, Thanks for posting the link. I'm not into astrology myself but maybe there will be some visitors here who are. I think your website might benefit from a bit of colour as it has a bland look about it in pure white. Name address ( you need this to distribute winnings) and date of birth is a pretty important piece of personal information, and you may get reluctance to divulge this an obstacle to the project, and I don't know where you would stand with the Data Protection Act despite your promises not to pass the information to third parties?

I've added a splash of colour to the site. Hopefully I haven't made it more difficult to read.

I'm not asking for addresses; I intend to distribute any bonuses via PayPal. I'm not even insisting on real names; contributors can sign up using an alias, and posting from a throwaway email, if they are concerned about privacy.

Your mention of the Data Protection Act is a bit more tricky. I certainly intend to comply with the requirements on handling data fairly, and I understand that 'not-for-profit' organisations like small clubs are exempt from registering with the Information Commissioner. That an organisation targetting the lottery could be construed as 'not'for'profit' might seem a little suspect, but I would argue this is a lottery club, and I'm not charging for membership. Yes, I'm selling lucky reports to anyone who wants to stay outside the Project, and maybe I should register this with the IC. I'm not saying anything more until I speak to a laywer........any lawyers in the house??

Well, I don't know any lawyers but as you say it would be better received if done with an alias. The spash of colour has made it easier on the eye too, so Good luck !
