Does anyone own an African Grey Parrot or are thinking of buying one?And need some advice?
My grey is 25 years old ,and I brought her in the early 80's,most of the greys purchased today are bred in this country and hand reared ,that was not the case with mine ,My grey was a 6 month old import,I am against importing any type of bird,especially african greys Its a cruel business, "whats my excuse",well I was naive at the time and younger ,Greys today are becoming an endangered species,They are not a pet for you if you have a 9 to 5 job ,Being a social bird they cannot be left alone all day without company If the are left alone they will develop behavioural problems like feather plucking If you are out working all day you would be better off with a pair, but this would be expensive a pair of greys would set you back about
