Odds of matching from a pool of 21

For those participating in the 21 ball challenge here are the odds involved.
If you have a pool of 21 numbers for a 6/49 game and you compare them with each 7 ball lotto result, these are the odds of getting various matches:-

Odds of matching 7 = 737 to 1
Odds of matching 6= 56 to 1
Odds of matching 5= 10 to 1
Odds of matching 4 = 3.4 to 1
Odds of matching 3= 2.2 to 1
Odds of matching 2 = 3.16 to 1
Odds of matching 1 = 10 to 1
Odds of matching 0 = 72 to 1

So you are most likely to match 3, not too difficult to match 4, match 5 or better consistently and you have a system!

We have played 19 games in the pick 21 challenge and my checking sheet is made out for a block of 20 draws. I would suggest that after 20 draws we review who did best over the 20 draws and declare winner(s) for :-

A) Most match 7's ( if any) failing that, most match 6's ( if any) , failing that most match 5's ( if any) - failing that, most match 4's (not counting bonus balls). This would be the top prize , the person most likely to have won the most money, had they had them in the right order left to right..

B) Most pick N wins , in other words the total score over the 20 draws when counting only the main balls correct in the first 6 positions left to right.

C) The most consistent winner, worked out by taking the average of the players scores over the number of games they entered. To keep it simple, bonus balls count the same in the total.

Hopefully this gives different people a chance of a virtual kudos prize.

A spreadsheet modification would be required to extract this information though. As Len has all the information so far, perhaps Lens would be the one to change. Any thoughts ?

i for one have enjoyed it frank, it will be interesting to see the results at the end of a block of 20, but i would also like to continue if everybody else is in agreement.

sorry ,I couldn't post my group last time as I was without internet connection >>>>due to the router got burned through a storm - it was really possible to happen than seems I have to learn switching off the PC in those cases

Second me we can do another session of 20 draws ,I'm just
"discovering" an interesting way to exploit the top 10 highest 3rd
skips of the numbers and there is a kind of good long run system.
But...the banking lists must be 2 different in this case.

I did mention this in one of the challenge contest threads, but I'll repeat it here for reference :-

I the Pick 21 challenge I have an extra scoring system (under test, just for fun) that allocates 21 points for a hit in the leftmost position, 20 points for a hit in second position , etc... down to........ 1 point for a hit in the 21st position, but nothing for a bonus ball outside the first 7 positions. The maximum score available is 126 for match 7 in the first 7 places.



In this example the positional score is 13+12+11+10+3 = 47.

Its still not clear what you want. What you asked doesn't make sense. You seem to want 400 random draws and a REAL draw result on top ? Can't you type in your own real result ?

Here is a spreadsheet to generate 400 random draws, we'll start from there ...

Can you use it? Modify it ? what's missing ? Let me know.

Hi Frank ,thanks a lot,it's OK now and
even works just as expected.
I've simply supposed the bellow:

1/it's a twice weekly lottery data
2/line n.400 is a Wednesday one
3/line n.400 has been generated first
