RE: Pets
Does anyone own an African Grey Parrot or are thinking of buying one?And need some advice?
My grey is 25 years old ,and I brought her in the early 80's,most of the greys purchased today are bred in this country and hand reared ,that was not the case with mine ,My grey was a 6 month old import,I am against importing any type of bird, especially african greys Its a cruel business, "whats my excuse",well I was naive at the time and younger ,Greys today are becoming an endangered species,They are not a pet for you if you have a 9 to 5 job ,Being a social bird they cannot be left alone all day without company If the are left alone they will develop behavioural problems like feather plucking If you are out working all day you would be better off with a pair, but this would be expensive a pair of greys would set you back about

RE: Pets
Hi All ,
I'm a cat adicted person who even doesn't have a real
sense of "pets" -simply living together is something
so normal and natural for me...

I feed deep respect for the dog owners as it's easy for me
imaging they love their dogs same way as I do with my cat.

About dogs same I know praticaly too litle................
about the existance of gas chambers for dogs I honestly
knew not, reading last night this article chocked me deeply!

"...the gas chamber is a stainless-steel box roughly the size of a pickup truck bed, and dogs are put into the chamber about seven or eight at a time. A computer-controlled pump slowly feeds carbon monoxide into the chamber once it's sealed, and an operator presses a button.

On that Oct. 3 day, a new animal control officer placed the stray beagle into the chamber with several other animals and started the machine...""

Maybe because of being a bit tired on the late hours or who
knows why I literaly sow in my mind the absurd scene of a dog
witnessing the death of the others-that same Daniel with that same
real human eyes...

If the dogs are so inteligent as the dog lovers say than
for the rest of his life this dog should feel only disdain and
disgust for the humans!
